ABOUT ME

 

Over 10 years ago, I went on to complete my MSc in Animal Manipulation (now MVetChiro) with Distinction at the McTimoney College in Abingdon. The college is the only one in the world dedicated to teaching the McTimoney chiropractic technique for animals. Since then, I have continued to develop my knowledge and skills through further study, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Therapy, an Advanced Chiropractic Certificate, and a kinesiology course with RockTape UK.

Alongside running my busy practice, I am proud to share my experience with the next generation of animal therapists. I teach practical days for the MSc MVetChiro students at McTimoney College and also work as an examiner across the year groups.

My passion for helping animals began during my studies in Equine Science at Hartpury College, where I graduated with a BSc (Hons) 2:1. Alongside my studies, I spent two years volunteering at the incredible Hartpury Therapy Centre. This experience had a huge influence on the direction of my career.

​

I had the opportunity to see horses arrive at the centre with a wide range of injuries and conditions, each with an individual rehabilitation programme designed to support their recovery. Watching their progress and seeing how much the right care and treatment could make a difference confirmed for me that I wanted a career dedicated to helping animals feel and move at their best.​

I have also completed advanced training in laser therapy for both equine and canine use, allowing me to incorporate a range of complementary techniques into my work and tailor treatments to each individual animal.

For me, every animal is an individual, and I believe in taking the time to understand them, their lifestyle and their needs. My aim is always to provide knowledgeable, thoughtful and compassionate care, working alongside owners and other professionals where appropriate to support the best possible outcome for each animal.
